A dining experience to remember! I had a wonderful time at Wren and Wolf last night from top to bottom and I'm already looking forward to trying the things I didn't order next time. I was seated in the perfect booth showing off the ambiance and decor. It's not a Scottsdale steakhouse thank goodness: it reeks of character, charm and thoughtful presentation of servers as well as the artwork and decoration. Once again I love downtown Phoenix these days! We started with the Zaatar, a unique and flavorful bread, and of course, in case it was a late night, a caviar bump... Oh the king crab stuffed oysters; I can't say enough about the depth of flavor and nice spicy zip at the end. Absolutely must try! My date had a very nice steak and I tried something different and had the schnitzel. Delicious, pleasant to the eye and left a nice note that was perfectly accompanied by my gin. We had a nice discussion about the wine selection with Nate our server, who was definitely on his game. Victor the manager made sure to stop by and charm us and again, Im feeling the warmth of the city in both the people and its culinary diversity. I've already been to the Trophy room and it was very swank; do not miss. Wren and wolf is going to become a favorite and I'll be back soon.

Went here for Valentine's brunch and was very impressed by the attentive service and beautifully decorated interior! I recommend making a reservation on OpenTable and parking in the nearest parking garage- they will validate your parking before leaving. The papas bravas and espresso martini were a great start to our meal. Both were very flavorful. My husband really enjoyed his salmon Benedict! While I did enjoy the shakshouka, it was far too much and the toasted bread was so hard that it made it difficult to chew. This dish would be better if half the size and served with something else, like a small side salad perhaps. If I go back, I'd definitely try something else.

First time trying out this restaurant for dinner. It is in downtown phoenix and there is a parking garage across the street 1-2 blocks, so allow time to park and walk. The restaurant does validate parking so remind them to do so on the way out. As soon as you walk in it's dim but beautifully decorated and gives off romantic chic vibes. Our server was great and food all came out at the same time. Beef tenderloin- 8/10 Shared this 8oz steak with my friend and they were nice enough to split it on 2 plates. Not the greatest steak I've ever had, was missing some kind of sauce and ended up using my bf's chimichurri sauce which made it alot better! The mashed potatoes were rich and super good. Australian wagyu-9/10 The presentation was amazing and it came with a chimichurri sauce that paired perfectly with the steak. Truffle mac n cheese- 10/10 This was one of the better truffle mac n cheese I've had. It had actual black truffles and the truffle was not overbearing. Definitely a side you must get. Crab fried rice- 9/10 This was a different take on rice. I personally enjoyed it as it was more of a black crispy rice mixed with crab, egg and spices. My friend thought it was too spicy so if you are not a fan of spicy, I would not get it. Also, since it is crunchy, some people might not like the texture. I liked everything about it as the flavor was amazing and I don't mind crunchy rice. Overall, this is a pricier restaurant but I enjoyed the ambiance, service and food so I would come back if I was in the area again!

Visited about a year ago and came back for Valentine's Day: we continue to be impressed. I normally don't try to double review but the service was incredible today by Daisy. Very attentive, friendly, and polite. We never felt rushed on a holiday either. The ox tail pappardelle and the wild boar bolognese were delicious, as was the bone marrow appetizer! The atmosphere and vibe never fails here. Always recommend to anyone who hasn't been!

we came here for an early valentine's day dinner. this was the first time we've been to this restaurant and i can confirm it definitely exceeded our expectations. items on the menu were a bit pricey but you're definitely getting what you paid for. i ordered the "moment in time" drink and it was spectacular! very light and refreshing. as an appetizer we got the shrimp cocktail and it blew us away! unlike anything we've had before. then for dinner we ordered the oxtail pappardelle and the cast iron half chicken. on the side we got the german potato dumplings that came with a fantastic sauce. all the food was incredible! while ordering, we were torn between the oxtail and the wild boar bolognese. our phenomenal server, Nate, surprised us and brought a small side of the bolognese out so we could try it. talk about an unforgettable experience!! next time we come in, we will definitely be ordering the wild boar bolognese. it had the right amount of spice and the pasta was cooked perfectly. the service and ambience of this restaurant were phenomenal and completely unique. the murals hung throughout the restaurant were very well executed and depicted the theme of the restaurant perfectly. it was a perfect mix of dark and touches of nature to create an intimate atmosphere needless to say, we will be back many more times to try the rest of the menu! highly recommend!!!

It was my birthday dinner! Service at the bar was fantastic! The restaurant is gorgeous! Drinks were phenomenal. I had the wild boar bolognese and it was delicious. Perhaps the best fresh pasta I've had in phoenix. Did the mouse for dessert and they made it special! Would definitely go back. Been wanting to go for awhile and it definitely did not disappoint!

Came here with a big group of 14 so we had picked a set menu (with some entree choices) ahead of time. But when we arrived, we were treated like special guests. A gorgeous table beneath a stunning painting. Service all night that went above and beyond. But the food and drinks were the standout. The wild boar bolognese had a spicy kick to it with pasta that was so fresh and unique (and tasty). Just a great dish. The spaghetti with pesto was also another standout. The meatballs were huge and came with polenta that was rich and creamy. And of course, the Butter Cake at the end which was like a cheesecake but lighter and more distinct in flavor with a raspberry sauce that was also not overbearing or sugary sweet. The cocktails are a hit too and the wine menu has all winners. We ordered a Pinot noir that the table raved about at just $49, a bargain for the quality. Overall, this was a fantastic meal. The place was buzzing all night and this deserves all the kudos. A well deserved five stars.

Amazing food, ambiance and service! I would highly recommend this restaurant. Can't wait to return.

We came in for the first time for brunch and left very happy. Our server Eric was really attentive and kind. At the next table, there were some little girls who were asking where the restroom was and instead of just giving vague hand directions on where to go, he actually went above and beyond to lead them on where to go. That is something you don't commonly see everyday and I thought That act of kindness should receive recognition. I ordered the smoked salmon croissant Benedict and my husband got the croque madame. Both tasted delicious and were on point with the flavors. We also got the cinnamon roll and holy cow it was huge. The fact that they made the icing look like icing made the presentation so enticing. We finished a quarter of it only to take home the rest. The cocktails (mimosa, Bellini and espresso martinis) were also on point! No regrets in deciding to brunch here today! Can't wait to come back to try more!

I came here for an early dinner on New Years Eve. First thing I experienced was how happy and cheerful the staff. They are very accommodating and friendly. For an appetizer I ordered the spicy meatballs, and for the main course, the pork tomahawk. Staff were quick to point out the pork chop is battered and fried. Unusual and although not mentioned on the menu, the staff kept referring to this as a schnitzel. The spicy meatball appetizer really was the best part of the meal. It's three meatballs, very tasty and filling. The pork tomahawk was good but I feel frying this fell a little short of what was possible. I finished off the meal with a chocolate mousse dessert that again was outstanding . Overall this was a great dining experience!
